1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
LAI is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We believe that everyone should have equal access to information and technology, and we continuously work to improve the user experience for all visitors to our website (letsaccelerate.it) and users of LAI Runtime software.
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, as referenced by the European Standard EN 301 549, and we are committed to compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) requirements, which are now in effect as of June 2025.
Beta Software Notice: LAI Runtime is currently in Beta and under active development. While we are committed to accessibility, some features may be incomplete or subject to change. We appreciate your patience and feedback as we work to improve accessibility across all aspects of the software.
2. Scope
This Accessibility Statement applies to:
-
Website: letsaccelerate.it and all associated web pages and resources.
-
LAI Runtime Software: The desktop and mobile applications distributed via our website and official app marketplaces (Apple App Store, Microsoft Store, Google Play Store, and other authorized channels).
-
AI-Powered Features: All AI interaction interfaces, including local AI processing and the optional Web Search Feature.
3. Accessibility Standards
Our accessibility efforts are guided by the following standards and guidelines:
WCAG 2.1 Level AA: The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines provide recommendations for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
EN 301 549: The European standard for accessibility requirements for ICT products and services.
European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882): EU directive establishing accessibility requirements for products and services, applicable to our digital services.
4. Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following accessibility features on our website and software:
4.1 Navigation and Structure
Consistent navigation across all pages; clear heading hierarchy for easy content navigation; skip-to-content links to bypass repetitive navigation; descriptive page titles and link text; keyboard-accessible menus and interactive elements; and logical focus order throughout the interface.
4.2 Visual Design
Sufficient color contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA standards; text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality; content that reflows for different screen sizes and zoom levels; no content that relies solely on color to convey information; and reduced motion options respecting user preferences.
4.3 Content Accessibility
Alternative text for meaningful images; captions and transcripts for multimedia content where applicable; clear and simple language; properly labeled form fields with error identification; and descriptive error messages with suggestions for correction.
4.4 Assistive Technology Compatibility
Compatibility with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack); support for keyboard-only navigation; proper ARIA labels and landmarks; and compatibility with browser accessibility extensions and tools.
5. AI Service Accessibility
We recognize that AI-powered services present unique accessibility considerations. LAI Runtime performs AI processing locally on your device, which provides certain accessibility advantages including offline functionality and reduced latency. We are committed to:
5.1 Accessible Interfaces
Ensuring all AI service interfaces are accessible via keyboard and compatible with assistive technologies across all supported platforms (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux).
5.2 Output Accessibility
Providing AI-generated outputs in accessible text formats that can be consumed by assistive technologies. Users should be aware that AI outputs are probabilistic and may contain errors or inaccuracies (as detailed in our Terms of Use), which is important context when relying on screen readers or other assistive technologies to interpret AI-generated content.
5.3 Web Search Feature Accessibility
The optional Web Search Feature, which queries third-party search providers at your request, is designed with accessibility in mind. Search results are presented in accessible formats. However, third-party content retrieved via web search may have varying levels of accessibility beyond our control.
5.4 Alternative Input Methods
Supporting multiple input methods to accommodate different user needs and abilities, including keyboard input, voice input where supported by your operating system, and compatibility with switch devices.
5.5 Clear Communication
Providing clear explanations of AI capabilities and limitations in accessible language. In accordance with our Terms of Use, users should understand that AI outputs may contain errors, hallucinations, or biases. We ensure these important disclosures are presented in accessible formats.
5.6 Bias Awareness
Working to identify and mitigate biases in our AI systems that could disproportionately affect users with disabilities. We acknowledge that third-party AI models integrated into LAI Runtime (such as Meta's Llama models) may reflect biases from their training data, and we encourage users to report any accessibility-related bias concerns.
6. Known Limitations
While we strive for comprehensive accessibility, we acknowledge the following current limitations:
(a) Beta Software Limitations: As LAI Runtime is in beta, some accessibility features may be incomplete or under development. We are actively working to address these gaps.
(b) PDF Documents: Some older PDF documents on our website may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these documents.
(c) Third-Party AI Models: LAI Runtime integrates third-party AI models (including Meta's Llama models under the Llama Community License) whose outputs may have accessibility implications beyond our direct control.
(d) Third-Party Search Content: Content retrieved via the Web Search Feature from third-party search providers may have accessibility limitations beyond our control.
(e) App Store Platforms: When LAI Runtime is distributed via third-party app marketplaces (Apple App Store, Microsoft Store, Google Play), certain platform-specific accessibility features or limitations may apply.
(f) Complex Visualizations: Some complex AI visualizations may require alternative descriptions that we are developing.
